Work in Progress: Kaleidoscope Flowers

One of the most popular image collections I offer is a selection of one-of-a-kind kaleidoscope designs made with vintage floral paintings and prints.

Recently I've been making new designs featuring single images, like the one posted here that's based on a botanical illustration of a fern. I call them Living Kaleidoscopes and I'll be listing a sheet of them at some vague-ish date later this year.

I love them, and hope you do too.

All images are high resolution and free for your use. Please, don't add them to digital collections for resale because it's an election year so I'm already cranky enough.  To visit my shop, click below!

Russians!

Charming costume designs for Russian ballet circa 1915. Much love for Queen of the Mermaids (third image).

All images are high resolution and free for your use. Please, don't add them to digital collections for resale or my sadness will permeate your very soul.  To visit my shop, click below!

Greetings from the New Year Walrus

The Seven Ages of Childhood

Illustrations from the early 1900s by one of my favorites, Jessie Willcox Smith. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Another great big batch of art

Today's posts feature illustrations for fairy tales from France, Germany, Italy, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Sweden, Turkey, Persia, Poland, Russia and the United States. Enjoy!

All images are high resolution and free for your use. Please don't add them to digital collections for resale. If you do it will release the powerful magic that coats every pixel like curare coats the tip of a blowgun dart - magic that will poison your sleep so that you only dream one dream forevermore, in which you watch the same old episode of American Idol over and over again. Beware!

Aaaaaaaaaaaand we're back.

Been busy being busy. Miss me?

Let's see if I can make up for the lack of posts with a ridiculously large batch of fairy tale art.

This batch isn't big enough yet. More to come right now.

Big Batch Part II

This batch needs to be bigger still. Diving back in to retrieve more...
